Tea Ingredients:

Formosa & Wuyi Oolong: potent antioxidants, alkalinizing, increases metabolism. Slightly fermented tea leaves allow for bio-active benefits such as probiotics.

Aged Pu-Erh Tea: potent antioxidant, alkalinizing, digestion support. Pu-erh comes from the same plant as all other teas, but is allowed to age for at least one year, allowing many benefits to emerge, much like a fine wine. It is thought that the aging allows caffeine to evaporate. 

Astragalus, Red Raspberry Leaf, Red Clover, Rosehips, Burdock, Dandelion Root, Lemongrass: antioxidants, vitamins, high mineral content, detox & digestion support, blood purifiers, and protection against common colds and viruses.

Cacao Nibs: highest magnesium content of any food, high antioxidant content.

Ginger and Cayenne: supports our body’s digestion and balance.

Gotu Kola, Chamomile, Stevia: Mental/physical calm, immune system support, natural sweetness.

Allantoin: Cell-proliferating healing agent which stimulates healthy tissue formation. Vegetable source.

Ascorbic Acid: Vitamin C, used to preserve active ingredients.

Beeswax: Emollient. Environmentally-conscious base

Butylene Glycol (Coconut Oil Derived): Non-toxic humectant and solubilizer. Used in minute concentration in order to protect turmeric extract. Do not confuse with Propylene Glycol.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Fair-Trade): Plant-based emollient that mimics the lipid content of the skin. Helps maintain the structure of the complex inter-cellular matrix and protects skin cells from damage and moisture loss. Important source of income for African Women. 

Camellia Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract+ Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract: Powerful free-radical scavengers, anti-inflammatory, nutritive. High concentrations shown to improve skin’s response to environmental aggression and sun exposure and slow down cell degradation.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Mixed ester composed of caprylic and capric fatty acids derived from coconut oil and glycerin. Prevents loss of moisture from skin, and provides a protective barrier.

Cetyl Alcohol: Vegetable source fatty alcohol derived from natural oils and fats (cetyl and stearyl alcohol) used to thicken and stabilize formulations.

Citric Acid: Vitamin C, antioxidant

Coconut Alkanes: Conscientiously sourced coconut oil. Humectant, skin nourishing.

Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate: Plant derived emollient. Substitute for common ingredient in lip products Spermaceti wax, which comes from whales.

Coco-Caprylate/Caprate: mixture of esters of Coconut Alcohol with Caprylic Acid and Capric Acid.

Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract: Rich in beta carotene, vitamins A and E and provitamin A (most easily used by body). Prevents premature aging of skin caused by sun exposure. Helps to heal dry, chapped and cracked skin, balances the moisture in skin.

Ethylhexyl palmitate (Organic): Organic replacement to silicone. Improves feel of product, and ability of product to be evenly spread.

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil: Non-GMO carrier oil. Contains approximately 60% polyunsaturated fatty acids and a good source of vitamin E.

Glyceryl Stearate: Derived from vegetable oil. Slows down loss of skin moisture, provides protective barrier and acts as stabilizer for active ingredients.

Glycerin: Vegetable derived humectant and preservative.

Glyceryl Behenate: Prepared from fully refined vegetable oils. Emollient, skin-conditioning agent, surfactant and emulsifying agent.

Glyceryl Dibehenate: Prepared from fully refined vegetable oils. Skin humectant, emulsifiying agent

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil: High in essential fatty acids. Helps moisturize, regenerate and condition the skin.

Honey (Organic): Powerful skincare ingredient. Naturally anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-viral and potent humectant. Soothing and nutritive.

Laminaria Saccharina Extract: Extract of the thallus of the algae, Laminaria saccharina, Laminariaceae. Skin purifier, nutritive, humectant, anti-aging.

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-8:+Myristoyl Pentapeptide-11: Family of peptides shown to improve collagen regeneration. (personal favorite!)

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil: High in fatty acids, natural antioxidant and offers a small degree of sunscreen protection. Used for centuries by women for brightening complexion. Known as “Moon Face” ingredient in parts of Asia.

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide: Fairly new peptide being researched for potent anti-aging benefits. Palmitoyl oligopeptide can increase collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and glucosaminoglycan production. When the synthesis of these proteins is stimulated, the effects are smoother, wrinkle-free rejuvenated-looking skin.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38: Peptide which mimics the body's own mechanism to produce collagen, shown significant ability to reduce surface lines and wrinkles.

Panthenol: pantothenic acid, or Vitamin B5. In a living cells, panthenol is converted to pantothenic acid, which then becomes an important part of the compound "Coenzyme A", which is important in cellular metabolism.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice: Aloe Vera. Potent skin protectant and humectant, soothing, provides low levels of sunscreen.

Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract: Resveratrol with yeast extract. From research “overall improvement in the look of wrinkles with improvement in skin complexion, and improvement in micro-ageing was observed with treatment of Pichia/resveratrol ferment extract."

Phenoxyethanol: Product preservative. Preservatives are a difficult component of active ingredients in skincare. Phenoxyethanol is currently the most stable preservative to protect ingredient integrity. It may be safer than common preservatives such as parabens, and more effective than rosemary oleoresin. We choose not to use Linool, or other citrus based preservatives a personal choices to stay away from Citrus Oils due to possible pigmentation isses. We use pheno in the lowest possible concentrations, below .05%, in one product, to preserve our abundant active ingredients.

Portulaca Pilosa Extract: Extract from succulent plant which helps restore lip plumpness and fullness.

Potassium Sorbate: Forms sorbic acid when dissolved in water and is the most widely used food grade preservative.

Rose Canina Oil/Rose Hip Oil: Extremely high in essential fatty acids and very respected amongst skin care professionals. Natural source of Tretinoin, the active ingredient in Retinol, and a very good source of Vitamin C. Softens and minimizes scars and is the predominant natural oil used for treating wrinkles and aging.

Safflower Oil: High content of unsaturated fatty acids, moisturizing.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil (Organic): Deeply penetrating and has exceptional skin softening qualities. Mimics the lipid content of the skin. Helps stabilize and maintain the structure of the skin's complex inter-cellular matrix, preventing moisture loss and cell damage, and promoting skin's soft, smooth, healthy appearance.

Sorbitan Isostearate: Olive oil-derived fatty acids. Moisturizing

Sucrose Cocoate: Natural hydrophilic emollient & moisturizer made of sucrose esters of coconut fatty acid (sugar beets & coconut oil).

Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate: Natural, coconut based emulsifier.

Sodium Levulinate: Sodium salt of levulinic acid. Used as a non-toxic preservative and moisturizer.

Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Extract:  High antioxidant properties that protects skin from free radicals, premature aging and degenerative damage. Contains carotenoids, which gives vegetables red color and may provide sun protection. Anti-bacterial.

Stearic Acid: Vegetable derived thickener. Most stearic acid used in products comes from Sperm Whales. We use vegetable based.

Sunflower (organic) Oil:Very high in essential fatty acids. Helps to moisturize, regenerate and condition the skin.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate: Stable form of Vitamin C. Increases collagen levels, reduces melanin production, brightens skin, and repairs the effects of UV exposure and other environmental damage. Has the ability to stimulate production of glycosaminoglycans, natural moisturizers. Considered a mild version of Vitamin C, well tolerated by people with Vit C sensitivities, but more potent than less stable versions of Vitamin C, such as Ascorbic Acid.

Tocopherol: Vitamin E. Scavenges damaging free radicals; improves barrier function of the skin.

Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane: Turmeric Extract. Blocks the synthesis of skin discoloration by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme that catalyzes the production of melanin. Potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging. On-going research shows great promise for anti-aging benefits in skincare.

Tribehenin: Mixture of glycerin, a smoothing lubricant and humectant, and behenic acid, a plant-derived fatty acid and conditioner.

Xanthan Gum: Derived from the fermentation of corn sugar. Used as a thickening agent.
